It's only been what....over a year since my last post. So this is a breakthrough for me, thanks to a little encouragement from some game night girls:)

Babies, babies, babies

Cute little Kadri loves all of her babies, she's named them all too! We've got Birthday Cake (Strawberry Shortcake), 2 are named Kylie (after her baby cousin), princess (of course) and don't forget kitty! Everynight she throws them all into her crib and either wraps them in a blanket to rock them to sleep, or she will make sure each one of them have a place on her pillow to sleep. Just too cute!!

We went up to a cabin in Aspen Grove with 4 other families and had a blast!! The kids had so much fun sledding, they could've gone all day!!

Free Lemonade Anyone?

Kason decided to have a lemonade (he calls it melamade) stand in November (best time of year for lemonade, wouldn't you say?) He decided to sell the lemonade for free so all of the kids coming home from school could have some. He still managed to make $2! The weather was great and the kids gathered around!! Altough, after making some money he's rethinking his selling strategies!

Fall

November 1st and the weather was perfect!! We headed up to the Mountains for a picnic and hike! We ate chicken salad sandwiches and made peach cobbler in a dutch oven. The leaves were just beautiful, I wish fall would last for a bit longer.

BYU obviously lost their game that week:(
Donut on a string, the kids loved this game!! Getting to eat a donut without any kind of manners at all, Lisle won, which I was for sure Elica would've won this game (she is my food gal)!
Halloween Night, Grandma and Poppy came Trick or Treating with us. Lisle and Kason decided to change costumes the last minute. Lisle went as a Power Ranger, Kason was Simba from Lion King, Elica was a lazy tired mom (It's what she see's every morning from me:) and Kadri was an adorable bunny who absolutely loved the whole concept of knocking on the door and getting candy!! Although it's not a good idea to let a 2 year old pick a couple pieces of candy out of the bowl, a couple pieces of candy to Kadri is the biggest handful she can grab!

Groundhog Day in September?

If you've seen the movie Groundhog Day, (my husbands favorite movie!). Bill Murray, a weatherman gets caught in a time warp, and relives the same day over and over again. September is a bit like that for me with all of the birthdays (4 total in September). I bake the cake, decorate the cake, put up the balloons and crepe paper and wrap the presents. They blow out the candles, open the presents and eat the cake. We take down the decorations and start all over again and then again! One of these years I'll get smart and leave the same decorations up all month!!

Kason (August 12th) 5 years old!

Lisle (September 5th) we won't say how old he is, but some think he is 40 years old:)

Elica had a little too much fun dressing up her brother, and Kason was more than willing to let her! I might need to send him to my brother Jesse for counseling. I think I dressed him up as a girl 1 too many times as a kid (sorry Jess:)

The Flyboys Premiere

Finally!!! So the movie that Lisle wrote the music for a few years ago is done after a long 6 years! I thought I was going to be attending this premiere while prgnant with Kason:) Lisle and I got to walk the Red Carpet and of course I didn't see the one step there was and tripped. I'm sure there is a picture somewhere with me tripping, I'd love to find it for a good chuckle. The Flyboys movie was awesome and the music was even better!!! The movie is showing in St. George and Mesquite and will be released up here September 12th, so look for it!

Camping!!

I love going camping every summer! It always amazes me how much you pack just to camp overnight!! And of course it's worth it!! This year I was so happy to have talked Jen and Shannon in to going with us, who consider staying in a hotel camping:) (Jenn we missed you!) The kids had fun climbing, playing in the stream of water and getting completely dirty! The best part was of course the food, the dutch oven dinner was amazing and before leaving we all got into a bit of a water fight.

Summertime!

So I finally did it, here is my blog you have all been asking for:) We started out our summer in Missouri with Lisle's family. We stayed out there for a week and then they came out here for a week. We had so much fun boating, swimming, eating, hiking, sight-seeing, eating, and of course eating. If you know my husband (and his family) it is all about the food. I got a food hangover everyday!! When we are eating breakfast the conversation revolves around what is for lunch and what is for dinner. And of course it is always good food!
